Capital and lowercase L in cursive

How the cursive l works — joins, family, and the usual mistake
L leads the loop family (b, e, f, h, k, l); every member starts with l's undercurve-and-loop. A loop that crosses too high (near the top line) makes l look like a stretched e — cross at the midline.

The cursive capital L
The cursive capital L is a graceful compound curve that loops at the top, sweeps to the baseline, and finishes with a small horizontal loop that trails into the next letter — close to a fancy print L.
