Printable Banner Maker

Type a word or phrase and build a printable letter banner — one cut-out flag per letter, each with a dashed cut line and string holes, ready to hang. Long phrases page automatically so every sheet prints clean. Free, no sign-up.

Build your banner

Type a word or phrase and the flags build live on the right, one per letter, in order. Print the sheets — they paginate automatically for long phrases — or download one PNG strip.

Each letter becomes its own flag. Spaces become a gap card in the layout — a reminder to leave a space when you string the flags together, not a flag to cut.

Runs entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded. Long phrases print across multiple sheets; cut and string the flags in page order to spell it out.

Ways to use a printable letter banner

How assembly works

Every flag has a dashed cut line and two dotted string-hole markers near the top corners. Cut along the dashed line, punch a hole at each dot, then thread string or ribbon through in order — each flag is numbered so a long phrase across several printed pages still comes together correctly.

Printable Banner Maker — FAQ

Type a word or phrase into the box — the tool instantly builds one pennant flag per letter, live, on the right. Each flag has a dashed cut line and two string-hole markers near the top corners. Click Print the banner to send it to your printer, or Download PNG to save one image with every flag in a row.
Not usually — a phrase that long needs more than one sheet. The tool automatically splits long phrases into several printed pages, each holding a fixed set of flags in reading order (left to right, top to bottom), with a real page break between sheets so every page prints cleanly on its own paper.
Each printed page is labeled Page X of Y, and every flag has a small number above it (like "3 / 13") showing its position in the phrase. Cut along the dashed line, punch a hole at each of the two dotted circles near the top corners, then thread string or ribbon through the flags in order, using those numbers as a guide.
Yes. Download PNG saves every flag as one continuous strip image, in order, with no pagination — handy for sharing digitally or sending to a print shop instead of printing page by page at home.
