Free Fire doesn't give squads an official "clan tag" slot the way some other games do — the matching look you see in the lobby comes from players agreeing on a short tag and each one pasting it onto the front of their own nickname. First, agree on the tag with your squad — this only works if everyone applies the same one. Build it above: 3–6 letters, a font (Bold and Small Caps read most reliably), and a frame like ꧁꧂ or [ ].
Then in Free Fire: open your Profile, tap the edit-name (pencil) icon, and paste the tag at the very front of your existing nickname — for example [FOX]Player. Save. Because the free-name-change is one-time, changing it again later usually costs a Nickname Card (paid with diamonds) — decide on the tag before the whole squad commits.
Finally, hit Share Team Template above and drop the link in your group chat. Each teammate opens it, types their own name, and the identical font and frame apply automatically — they just add their own name after the tag and paste it in.
These are three separate things, and it's easy to mix them up. Your nickname is your own personal in-game name — see the Free Fire Name Generator if you just want to style that. Your clan tag (this page) is a short prefix every member manually adds to the front of their own nickname, so the squad matches wherever names are visible in a match or lobby — Free Fire has no separate field for it, it's purely a player convention.
