Text faces dressed in black: crosses, pentagram stars, bats, skulls and chains. Tap a gothic face to copy it.
A goth kaomoji is usually an ordinary flat or sleepy face with dark decoration around it, so the mood comes from the frame rather than the expression. Crosses carry most of the look: ✞ and † are Latin crosses, and ⸸ is an upside-down dagger that people use as an inverted cross. ⛧ is an inverted pentagram and 𖤐 is a six-pointed star from the Bamum script that reads as a witchy star. Bats are drawn with ⎛⎝ ⎠⎞ as wings and ⱅ as tiny fangs. These suit alt and emo bios, Halloween posts, horror fandoms and dark aesthetic usernames. 𖤐 and ⸸ come from smaller Unicode blocks, so some devices show a box where they should be. For standalone dark symbols without faces, see the goth and grunge symbols page linked below.
✞, † and ✟ are upright crosses. ⸸ points down and reads as inverted.
⛧ is an inverted pentagram and 𖤐 a six-pointed star. Both turn a plain face witchy.
⎛⎝ and ⎠⎞ are the wings, ⱅ is a mouth with two small fangs.
Dead eyes, skulls and chains for the heavier end of goth.
Softer gothic faces with floral hearts and daggers, closer to Victorian mourning style.
Crosses (✞ † ✟ ♱), the inverted dagger ⸸, the inverted pentagram ⛧, the star 𖤐, skulls ☠ and chains ⛓. Placed on both sides of a plain face, they set the dark mood while the face stays deadpan.
𖤐 is a character from the Bamum Supplement block of Unicode, a historic script from Cameroon. Its six-pointed shape gets used online as a witch or occult star. Because few fonts include that block, some phones and computers show a box instead.
Copy ⎛⎝(•ⱅ•)⎠⎞ from this page. The wings are bracket-piece characters from the Miscellaneous Technical block and ⱅ is a Latin Extended-C letter, neither of which is on a standard keyboard.
The UltraTextGen kaomoji generator filters the parts by mood, then lets you swap the outline, eyes and mouth and add cheeks or arms, keeping the left and right sides matched. Every part is plain Unicode text, so the face pastes wherever you are typing.
