Butterflies made from letters, from the ornate Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ to tiny ʚɞ wings. Tap any butterfly to copy it.
A text butterfly is two mirrored wings with something thin between them. In ʚїɞ the Latin letters ʚ and ɞ are the left and right wings and the Ukrainian letter ї is the body, its two dots standing in for antennae. Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ is the same plan drawn larger, with Ƹ and Ʒ for the wings and stacked combining strokes giving the body texture. Put a face between the wings and the butterfly becomes a kaomoji, as in ʚ(˘ᵕ˘)ɞ. The trails at the bottom use Oriya and Gujarati letters that look like a pair of wings in flight; phones without those fonts show boxes. The 🦋 emoji is on the animal emoji page.
Single butterflies that fit in a username, bio line or after a name.
The ʚ ɞ pair wraps around a face, so any mood can grow wings.
A dotted trail shows where the butterfly has been. Each one copies as a single line.
Use two mirrored letters for wings and one thin character for the body. ʚ and ɞ (U+029A and U+025E) are the usual wings, and ї, ĭ or ϊ goes in the middle, giving ʚїɞ.
It combines Ƹ (U+01B8) and Ʒ (U+01B7) as wings with Ӝ, a Cyrillic letter, as the body. The extra strokes are combining marks layered on each letter, which is why it can look slightly different from one app to the next.
ପ and ଓ are Oriya letters, and ઇ is Gujarati. They are used for their wing shapes. A device without fonts for those scripts cannot draw them, so stick to ʚїɞ, which uses Latin and Cyrillic letters.
The UltraTextGen kaomoji generator filters the parts by mood, then lets you swap the outline, eyes and mouth and add cheeks or arms, keeping the left and right sides matched. Every part is plain Unicode text, so the face pastes wherever you are typing.
