Teeth Kaomoji

Fangs, sharp shark teeth, gritted teeth and wide toothy grins drawn in text. Click a face and paste it anywhere.

A teeth kaomoji swaps the usual mouth for a character with points or a grid. ш, a Cyrillic letter, looks like a row of sharp teeth, and with ▼ as eyes or brows above it the face turns menacing, close to the ギザ歯 (giza-ba) shark teeth of anime. ⤙ adds one small tooth at the corner of the mouth, the cute single fang Japanese calls 八重歯 (yaeba). 皿, a kanji for a dish, reads as clenched teeth, and 廿 or 甘 as a square grid of them. For a smile that simply shows teeth, ᗜ draws a wide open grin. Several of these characters come from less common scripts, so a few may show as boxes on older devices.

Frequently Asked Questions

Teeth Kaomoji, Answered

What character makes the sharp teeth in ▼ш▼?

ш is the Cyrillic letter sha, which has three upward points and reads as a row of sharp teeth. The ▼ on each side act as narrowed eyes or angry brows.

What does the ⤙ mean in (˶˃⤙˂˶)?

⤙ is an arrow-tail symbol used here as one small fang at the corner of the mouth. Japanese calls a visible single canine 八重歯 (yaeba) and treats it as cute, which is why these faces are soft rather than scary.

Why do some teeth kaomoji show as boxes?

Characters such as ⤙, ᗜ and ᗧ come from symbol and syllabics blocks that some older fonts do not include. Faces built from ш, 皿 and ▼ use more common characters and display on most devices.
