Foxes drawn in text, with tall pointed ears and a white ruff of fur. Tap one to copy it.
What separates a fox kaomoji from a cat is the ruff. In εᐟᐠ•ﻌ•ᐟᐠз the ε and з on the outside are the tufts of fur that stick out from a fox's cheeks, and the doubled ᐟᐠ on each side are tall, pointed ears. ﻌ in the middle is an Arabic letter form that makes a narrow, pointed muzzle. A cat face usually has one pair of ears and no cheek fur, so the extra layers are what read as fox. The ears and muzzle come from Canadian syllabics and Arabic, so a device without those fonts shows boxes; the -^^,--,~ fox is plain keyboard text. The 🦊 fox emoji is on the animal emoji page.
The ε and з ruff stays put; the eyes inside change the mood.
Extra characters outside the face add paws or a feeling.
Shorter foxes that use common symbols and work on any device.
A fox face carries cheek fur: ε on the left and з on the right, outside two pairs of pointed ᐟᐠ ears. Cat faces usually have a single pair of ears and whiskers instead of a ruff.
ﻌ is the medial form of the Arabic letter ain (U+FECC). Kaomoji use it for its pointed, downward shape, which works as a narrow fox muzzle.
A fox lying down, drawn from the side. ^^ are the ears, the commas and dashes are the body and legs, and ~ is the bushy tail.
The UltraTextGen kaomoji generator filters the parts by mood, then lets you swap the outline, eyes and mouth and add cheeks or arms, keeping the left and right sides matched. Every part is plain Unicode text, so the face pastes wherever you are typing.
